In Patch 6.5, Fall of 2023, they implemented my Ronkan Fireplace from the 2019 Furnishing Design Contest. I still remember Yoshi-P holding up the paper in the Live Letter & I did such a double take lol. To have it in my house & see it in others continues to be such a cool experience! ❤️

We report: all of the wind of these past few weeks has stripped the trees bare here. The ground is all mulch and rotting wood, and we are bound to get a foot stuck in there at some point tonight. With no leaves on the branches, and barely a breeze, the night is eerily quiet.

All of my FFXIV furnishing designs spanning from the 2017 contest to most recent, because I love housing (and fireplaces lol)

Starting with: Cait Sith Sofa (won in the 2017 contest), Fat Cat Cushion (2017 entry), and Ronkan Fireplace (2019 entry, implemented in 2023)
One of my furnishing designs for the 2017 contest: A Cait Sith Sofa. It is black and white, the back of the sofa has cat ear shapes with hearts and a checker pattern on the back, a small crown, and silver bead accents. There's a small Cait Sith-shaped cushion and a small checkered circular cushion. One of my furnishing designs for the 2017 contest: A Fat Cat Cushion. It's a small floor cushion in the shape of a fat cat's face, with stitched patterning and a button eyes. My design for the furnishing contest in 2019: A Ronkan fireplace. It's a stone fireplace with owl motifs and orange glowing stones resembling the stonework of the Ronkan ruins in Rak'tika Greatwood.

We report: for the first few hours of the night, the sky was only an expanse of light-eating, inky black. When the waxing gibbous moon appeared through gauzy clouds, we almost thought a silver sun was rising. We find blue shadows spilled out over our bed, dripping onto the floor.

We report on a day that we stumbled through, tired, our mind stuck somewhere else. Only now, with the stars above our head, do we feel a little awake. Distant houses watch us with their orange eyes, but we do not feel observed, and we find our solace in this darkness.

We report: the night came faster for the thick cover of the clouds, and even faster for the looming trees above us. In search of the way back, we looked for familiar landmarks, but only found glowing eyes in the deepening shadows. The wind washed out all the sounds of the night.
