My point is everybody - including people in poverty - still deserve a good meal.

While I can’t ever compare my life to anyone raising a family on SNAP, I’ve been through times when I had a super tight grocery budget, and when I relied on dishes like liver and broccoli stir-fry over rice bc you can buy a pot of chicken livers for like two bucks).

Even the most budget-friendly dollar store meals still cost more than $3.30/meal to be able to feed a family.
