The Braves will throw 4 starters that the Padres didn’t see last year when they eliminated the Braves in October. Especially funny when you consider all 4 of those pitchers were on the 26 man roster the day before the playoffs started (assuming Holmes is the 4)

The only spring stats I really can bring myself to care about are things like BB%, K%, SwStr% and CSW% where it’s available, maybe velocity. It’s why I’m still intrigued by Anderson Pilar, whose SwStr% is over 17% and K% is over 35%

Mets have created an interesting bullpen situation for themselves. Dedniel Nuñez was unequivocally one of the best relievers in baseball when he was up last year, but there isn't a spot for him at the moment and the only guy they have with options was also very good

There’s a lot of good content inside this piece. Cubs see King as a more likely extension candidate than Cease, which makes a lot of sense (Cease is a Boras client, King coming off a career year). Could be relevant information for Atlanta, too.

The Dodgers aren’t doing anything *wrong* and I’m not *mad* at them and I *love* a lot of their players, but I *hate* them as an entity. Having two rotation spots locked up with aces who are making close to league minimum that they didn’t draft or trade for…ugh

Idk if the Braves have the sauce to get Kyle Tucker, but man oh man there isn't a better fit out there for the 2 hole in this lineup. Excellent plate discipline, on-base, power, speed. He's a truly exceptional player. Even one year of him would be worth losing some legit prospects
