it's not brilliance or skill, except in the sense of google dominating the market early on. if they were brilliant, they wouldn't have gone all in on LLMs, which have limited widespread use. but google isn't out to create a tech god like Thiel and the other losers, it's out to get you reliant on AI

it's like when people try to say the US has the best military might because of WWII or something. And ignore how a big part of us not getting conquered easily is really just -being surrounded on two sides by large bodies of water.
