Maybe instead of adopting for Christmas Day, give a “gift card”paying the adoption fees and setting up a visit to the shelter, just to be sure that pet is truly wanted and won’t be returned. Pets are a big commitment but, if you willing to go all in, you won’t regret it. Shelter pets are the best!

Since, apparently, it’s going to be politics as usual in DC, it’s time to focus instead on what brings us joy. Edward Hopper painted what he saw around him. No hidden meanings, just what he liked. My favorite is Freight Cars, Gloucester (1928). Wonderful composition, color scheme and subject matter.

My first doggo, Halibut, was a border collie mix. There wasn’t a dog out there that could keep up with her, and she was as smart as a whip too. After 30+ years I still miss her a bunch.

Stitch says “hi Izzy”, and that you’re a very good human😉

Spot on. Scary part is how many Americans are oblivious to the insidious propaganda being used to make it all seem “normal“. Posting images like this may appear to be humorous, but there is a dark purpose behind it.

Stitch is asking if he can come to your next bbq?

Picked up the brushes again after a 40-year hiatus and career path that took me in a different direction. First one I completed is a view of the Elkhorn Mtns, the second I just finished are trees in front of the house. Still practicing but, it’s a start. Forgot how much work/fun painting can be.

Right on, Gabby! Better days are coming for our country after the next election cycle. In the meantime, I’m with you. Let’s enjoy the natural beauty around us, including those clouds😉

Miss Kitty (Lilo) and her brother Stitch thank you. They found their forever home with us in December 2023.

Stitch has all the tenacity of a terrier, and then some. He may not be very big, but he has the heart of a lion. So glad he found his forever home with us😊

They are cool. This guy was hanging around us when we visited Yellowstone a few years back.

Gotta get away from politics this weekend (if possible). The more crap I see the more it makes my blood, well, you know…

We lived in Leadville, CO for 10 years. At over 10,000’ in elevation you have to like snow (and lack of oxygen 😂). But you didn’t have to go very far out of town for breathtaking scenery.

We all should be surrounding ourselves with what brings us joy.
