This is the character sheet of Ravine Luxerula, a VTuber character. She's a light-skinned woman with dark purple hair, which she keeps in a jellyfish haircut, and turquoise eyes. She's wearing long black boots that reach to her thigh and a bodysuit, both marked by golden highlights. She's also wearing a white corset that becomes a fur coat as it goes upwards, and two long coattails as they go downwards. The character is 160cm of 5'3 ft., but she's wearing 4-inch heels. She's also wearing various red ribbons and small pieces of regalia, like a tattoo on her right arm and butterfly jewelry. The character sheet gives her front, side and profile shots, as well as carrying the signature of the artist behind the design — @sae.illust, which as far as I know hasn't moved to BlueSky just yet.

Quick thought: I'm an applied mathematician and I've spent about a year looking at #AI development.

The technology itself isn't bad but the most successful services are made by thieves. Models are only as useful as the data they train on and a lot of it was farmed illegally.

Text: "Hello! I'm not usually comfortable with NSFW depictions of my character (there's probably some guideline I'll create for it, I've seen those exist) but I'm making an exception to raise awareness for the Visa/MasterCard fiasco going on. What happened? You might have heard about this — basically some "Christian Moms Against Dabbing" style group called Collective Shout in Australia pressured these payment processors into making it so their service cannot be used to buy lewd videogames. The payment processors then outsourced this responsibility to game license providers like Itchio and Steam, leading to products that are not illegal (but somehow subjectively determined too offensive to the senses by Collective Shout) to be removed off these game hosting platforms. How does this affect me? I don't normally buy porn or NSFW content. Fair enough — me neither. Still, this going unquestioned would set a very bad precedent for anti-monopoly practices. Visa and MasterCard are payment processors, it's not within their duties to tell their users what to do with their money. This coincides with a very suspicious three-way effort by the Starmer 🇬🇧 and Trump 🇺🇸 administrations (+ EUParl 🇪🇺) to comply users to do age verification by getting their face scanned or creating digital IDs, under "Online Safety Acts" —which do nothing but give private companies more of your data under the endorsement of the state, at a time when AI is trying to train very sophisticated forms of face recognition for surveillance. In practice, sites being placed behind this firewall are not only pornographic in nature, but also LGBTQ subreddits, transgender health resources and general sex-ed. This has also been used to censor images and footage coming out of Palestine. Age verification systems in general are very easy to fool, but the measures being implemented at the time being are clear effort to restrict what we can see online." "Political theory/civil liberties types like me who are making the case for this issue have to fight it owing to the nature of the laws, as a matter of freedom of speech and stifling of free expression and so on. The ACLU for example is already setting up a case against the American equivalent of the OSA and there are equivalent efforts in the UK and EU already. But here's the short of it: pornography (within some ethical boundaries, which Steam and Itchio abide by) is fun. People like it, it won't stop existing and that's all there is to it — so I'm joining this Christian Nationalist war on porn on the side of the porn."

#Ironmouse was my inspiration to join the community. Seeing her sing "No me queda más" during the pandemic was what motivated me to give this whole thing a go.

It's sad to see her charity work face a rug pull like this. She represents some of the best things an #ENVTuber can do.
