I am very very excited for how it'll go when I choose to see and hear with its senses. Not even from like, how will that feel, but from a "giving Zeema the ability to be and see places she shouldn't" thing.

Who knows maybe my character needs to be more decisive and confident. Maybe at least one wizard can resist temptations.
Or maybe I'm entirely reading meaning into what simply /is/, and there is no further symbolism.

I do think it was the right choice, or rather the best choice...
Entreating the fey is scary for obvious reasons, even one loyal to me. And a celestial creature, even with good intentions, would send my character into a spiraling inferiority complex, a wish to be what she can never be.
