That's brilliant! I watched it for a while in Bluesky then loaded it on YT and wondered why it was a 57 minute video, a few skip forwards and all became clear/snow 😉

Have you switched to Mode 5?

I can imagine this being the sort of thing a well meaning relative would give you as a Christmas present. Imagine having to say how much you enjoyed playing them all...

Cascade 50 really living up to it's name, in some ways not being able to load the tape could be considered a blessing 😄 I bow to your perseverance with these.

Really enjoying these. I know next to nothing about x86/ARM (6502 & 68k are my area) but seeing the various optimisations takes me back to the compiler module I did at Uni in the early 90s 👍

Managing about 1 afternoon a week for retro stuff at the moment, so not a chance of even trying I'm afraid 😞 Probably wouldn't even get close to what you've done anyway 👍

Nice :) This challenge reminds me of the good old Amiga demo days where teams competed to get the most Bobs (blitter objects) on screen. That might have been where I first came across double & triple buffering.

Would it be valid to call "Lit + Lit Task + Lit Context" a "framework", because that's all we're using for our enterprise apps nowadays? A very nice way to build easy to maintain apps in my experience as it keeps the mental model surface area small.

128GB !! Are you planning on leasing it out to some AI providers? 😉

I found the default keys fine, in fact when I played Chuckie Egg I switched to your keys :)

The diamond thing is meant to show your 'scan'. One possible upgrade will be to increase your scan range. Find the asteroids quickly before the aliens find you 😃

...asteroids to appear when the player enters their sector. I need to figure out "world coordinates" to "screen coordinates" first though.

Some will contain the crystals you need (10) to activate the stargate to jump to the next level. Some will contain resources and some will contain "alien artefacts", you can use these to upgrade your ships capabilities between levels. At least that's the plan for now anyways. Next up is getting....

I expect the Electron chapter is very short 😉 I wish they had given it proper sound capabilities.

Oh no 😮 Did you get a chance to see his excellent pinball game before this happened?

So what you're saying is that you killed a Beeb playing Chuckie Egg
a man in a red jacket is making a surprised face and saying whoa .

Just went to book my ticket and they are sold out, that will teach me not to prevaricate 😕 Sunday tickets still available but I can't go then, hope you have a great time 😄

This looks fantastic, I look forward to trying it out when I next unpack the Elk :)

One of my Electron favourites too and still enjoyable today, I didn't realise they did a version for the C64 though.
