I will say as an Irish American person who grew up with a very proudly Irish side of the family, it felt really weird to see a modern headline that felt kind of racist towards me. It certainly provoked a lot of introspection for this early in the morning over here lol

This headline struck me as being kind of racist against the Irish or at the very least extremely tone deaf. Though I'm not as familiar with what modern English racism towards the Irish looks like so I could be wrong about that.

Part of the problem IMO is that Pro LLM people are just so smug in a way that really irritates me on top of my dislike for their torment nexus. and I've been trying not to be as hateful recently so when I fail at that I get even angrier, I can't win lol

I try not to be reflexively mad at everyone who doesn't hate LLMs but that sometimes feels like a losing battle.

I've gotten a lot less negatively polarized but if I see too many people be positive about LLMs in a short span of time I start to feel the call of butlarian jihad posting lol.

Right to a trial by Jury is one of the foundational principles of English liberty so I guess I shouldn't be surprised the current government wants to end all that.
