In what has to be a good omen for this week part of his announcement is the story of his first MLS appearance, when he subbed in in the 12th minute in Sandy when Matt Pickens shattered his arm, and helped the team to a 1-1 draw. It includes a pic of Irwin hoisting the Rocky Mountain Cup.

Finally got a rack and made space in the laundry room for my kit collection. 46 total including 15 national team kits. 2 sets of duplicates, both kits that cats slashed and I replaced, using the slashed ones as ‘work in the yard’ shirts.

I still have a sticker, unstuck, from the first plane I worked on at Boeing. An unsuccessful sub-model of which only 55 were produced and essentially went out of production by the time I was laid off in 1999.
