Please ignore tired pieces in publications like the Atlantic that are still trying to stigmatize mask wearing.

Wearing a mask to prevent sickness from airborne viruses is a science-informed position, and it has been that way for over 100 years.

Reminder: People of color are more likely to wear a mask to protect their health and their communities.

People of color are also more likely to be profiled by the police.

No organization who is serious about racial justice should support mask bans or criminalization of masking.

Wear your mask proudly. State facts, data, and science sternly. When this madness ends, and it will, you'll be on the right side of it. On the side of truth, reality, empathy, science, health, civility. Protect your loved ones and yourself. Health and well-being is on the line.

New Yorkers deserve #CleanAir + Right to Mask Up. CO2 level of 2762 PPM on @mta.info train means we need mask protection from circulating viruses + pollution.

Just thinking how the last time I ate inside of a restaurant was on February 14, 2020. Since then I've lost almost everything that was important to me. Now, every day is a deep struggle to do something that matters to me with what's left.

For those who don’t remember, Matthew Shepard was 21 when he was murdered in a 1998 anti-gay hate crime

Budde gave him a permanent resting place. She stood up for the LGBTQ+ community then just as she did when she addressed Trump on his Inauguration.

Show mercy. Be kind. Stand up to the bullies
DID YOU KNOW for 25 years Matthew Shepard had no permanent resting place due to concerns his grave would be vandalized

Reverend Budde learned of this, she invited the Shepards to inter him inside the Washington National Cathedral.

She was and is a real hero.

David Lynch spent the last portion of his life in isolation. He said it was due to being high-risk and unable to risk getting COVID.

He’s not the only person with disability or illness who’s been left behind.

Everywhere you go without an n95 is a place you’ve decided disabled people don’t belong.

It's shameful that some Democrats have supported mask bans. We need to be clear that anyone supporting a mask ban is supporting the suppression of democracy.
