I just know of a lot of work places that call themselves 'scent free zones' and some have no idea the differences between perfumes and artificial scents and more natural ones that are typically used in diffusers.

They let you do that? Or do you have your own office?

Extremely important prompt. Memories are what make the character. I use my own memories to add little details to breathe life into their memories.

As for how my characters would feel about losing them, probably confused. If they can't remember them, they don't know what they've lost.

People without day jobs, and designed around people with actual networking skills.

Well there were certainly a few cringe moments, but things that I could polish up with my current level of experience.

This sounds too much like me! Although in my case I was reading a story I wrote 18 years prior and surprised how relevant the themes remained even after so much time.

That is probably for the best. I took more than a decade break from writing, but it's what I needed.

I started writing an anthology of short stories, ranging from 2.5-5k words.I only got about 4 done but it helped.
