@velshi.com My 93 year old friend’s husband of 70+ years died during the shutdown. She has tried to register this several times since reopening to no avail. So today this grieving 93 year old with oxygen and a Walker has to schlepp into the SSA to declare her husband (a veteran) deceased.🤬

Thank you for reminding us that “rape” of 14 year old girls is the issue. Thank you for reading the statement of one of the victims who still feels “guilty” that she did not come forward sooner to potentially help others. The victims should not be the ones feeling guilt

I’d say that @stephencolbert.bsky.social is (with the lone exception of @maddow.msnbc.com) the most brilliant, humane person I’ve encountered in broadcasting. His mind works faster than anyone else’s at a level of sophistication that is unmatchable. Genuinely a generational talent.

How odd that all of the “felons, murderers and rapists” are being pulled out of their places of employment. They seem to actually be working at real jobs in restaurants, construction, picking crops etc. Seeing footage from raids all over the country is chilling.
