Cardio day. Added 5 minutes today. My feet are still getting sore from the plantar fasciitis but even after only one session of shockwave therapy there's been an improvement. I have another session today so we'll see how next week's cardio feels

Feeling stronger, less sore, more in control this week, so I increased reps. Still finding my feet at the new gym but feeling less like an imposter there. On advice from my podiatrist I changed to flat shoes for strength instead of the Hokas I use for cardio - makes a difference!

Apart from getting cock blocked for 3 different machines, feeling stronger than I did my 1st week back at the gym. I'm not used to having to wait for machines. At my old gym me & crazy cardio lady were the only ones there between 315am & 415am. The new gym has a bunch of crazy early morning gymmers

I hate cardio. I'd much rather move heavy things but i promised myself i would do a cardio day every week when I got back from my holiday. So here we are. Broke the 4km treadmill barrier. And once I'm really back in the groove I'll bump the time to an hour from 45 minutes.

Just shy of 4km. Its hard for me to stop myself from pushing too hard to get back to where I was. I had 14 weeks off and I need to give myself time and grace to build back up again. I'm not 20 anymore (thank God), and it's ok to be a bit gentler to my old bones.

After last week's humbling abject failure of a gym return that left me in so much pain by Wed that I couldn't move, I'm being gentler to myself & feel much better after today.

This reminds me why I keep doing this - to be healthy. It's not about the numbers or impressing anyone but myself.
