We need to stick up for one another
This is f*cked up!

There isn’t any law in this country that requires you to provide proof of citizenship on the interior, but unfortunately ICE is racially profiling.

And they don’t care if you say you’re a US citizen.

So where does this leave everyone? If you don’t look white, you’re in danger.

This should be the biggest News story of the day

Instead we get crickets from the major news outlets.

Fascism 101, control the news media.

Resistance 101, get out and protest anyway.

We're going to win this, because if we don't, it'll be NAZI Germany all over again.

Only one response will save you.

This week on Rainy Day Rabbit Holes: Kuchisake-onna, the slit-mouthed woman. Edo-period origins. 1970s panic. Still unsettling.

A desert town built by the government.
Residents told to stay quiet.
A purpose nobody living there was allowed to know.

What happened out there is one of the most bizarre pieces of PNW history we’ve uncovered.

78. The Bunny Apocalypse
Rainy Day Rabbit Holes: Silly Summer Season — Napoleon vs. The Bunny Apocalypse Episode Summary: In this episode, we travel back to 1807, when Napoleon Bonaparte, the conqueror of Europe and master tactician, faced the most humiliating defeat of his career — at the paws of a swarm of ravenous rabbits. We explore how a grand hunting party meant to celebrate his triumph turned into slapstick chaos, why the bunnies charged, and whether this story was an elaborate piece of historical trolling. Topics Covered: - The aftermath of the Treaty of Tilsit - Napoleon’s love of grand gestures - Alexandre Berthier’s ill-fated event planning - The possibly hangry domesticated rabbits - Paul Thiebault’s rivalry and the murky origins of the story - What it all means for the myth of invincibility Resources & Further Reading: - https://www.ripleys.com/stories/attacked-by-rabbits - https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/51364/time-napoleon-was-attacked-rabbits - https://justhistoryposts.com/2023/01/27/a-brief-moment-of-history-when-napoleon-took-on-rabbits - https://historyfacts.com/famous-figures/fact/napoleon-was-attacked-and-defeated-by-a-horde-of-rabbits

Rainy Day Detour: Alien Romulus with Midday Movies
Rainy Day Rabbit Holes Presents: Midday Musings – Alien: Romulus Review We’re thrilled to feature an episode from Midday Musings with Stephen & Laura, one of our fellow shows in the Umbrella Podcast Collective! In this episode, Stephen and Laura break down the brand-new Alien: Romulus (2024), directed by Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe). This movie follows five indentured teen workers trying to escape a Weyland Corp mining colony, only to find themselves trapped on a derelict space station overrun by xenomorphs. With standout performances (David Jonsson especially!), gritty tension, and sharp sci-fi world-building, Alien: Romulus brings back the slow-burn horror we’ve been missing since Alien and Aliens. Shea absolutely adored this film — especially after the weird detours of Prometheus and Covenant — and is excited for you to hear this deep dive.  🎲 As part of our Summer of Saucers celebration, we’re also playing the Alien RPG with other Umbrella Collective shows, and later this summer we’ll release bonus episodes where Shea sits down with Stephen and Laura to chat James Cameron’s Aliens and David Fincher’s Alien 3.
