Del Toro has always been about range.
I recall seeing him in USUAL SUSPECTS: I had no idea who he was, and presumed he was just some hip dude they'd roped in to essentially play himself. I thought he simply *was* Fred Fenster.
I also recall my surprise when, soon after, I saw FEARLESS on TV!
