I think it's an age thing, where when I was working it never occurred to me once that accommodations were something I could ask for—it was the HR manager at my last job who got me on short-term disability, which in NY meant I got half pay for the three months before we moved

Mine was last Friday, and yesterday they called and said I have to get MRIs alternating with mammograms every six months! I am not pleased
