What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Civil rights groups are preparing to take the fight against Texas’ sweeping voter suppression law to SCOTUS. But if the justices hear the case, the court’s conservative majority could issue a ruling that makes it even harder to challenge anti-voting laws.

In Florida in the year 2000, as it is today, the legal age to work is 14 years-old.

Epstein’s case dealt with working 14-year-old girls. 8th graders.

This is something that Congress needs to talk about.

The recent discussion of DOJ “burn bags” should be a warning to everyone calling for the release of the Epstein files: They may no longer exist. This is, after all, a very ham-fisted cover-up.

Six years ago today, 23 people were killed & 22 others were injured in a targeted attack against the Latino community in El Paso, Texas.

Racist hate & easy access to guns is a deadly combination devastating our country and tearing apart our families. We must build the safer future El Paso deserved.

Here is an email many federal employees with 1 year or less experience have received today.
It informs them that their agency can fire them at will before they acquire civil service protections.
There are an untold number of probationary employees across the federal government. Perhaps 200,000.
