It’s hard to point out the bad actors and really watch out for them.

However, I will add that I’ve had some pretty great experiences too!

- a little reminder of the week, usually centered around not being so hard on yourself (they're as much for me as they are for you)

- when I really don't feel like showing up & writing the email, but still do, because consistency as a business matters to the overall trust people feel in your brand.

YES PLZ I LOVE THIS – because milestones AFTER the project is complete 🥰

I think that'll help you (+clients) actually take action on the project you just completed – whether its strategy or just design. You (or the client) still has to take action on it for it to have a chance at working.

And it’s hard to trust again when you’ve been let down and disappointed before.

It feels easier to maintain that DIY energy even tho it could be exactly what’s holding you back.

Yes, and you’re stuck paying the bill! I think that brings a yuuuuge buyer hesitation – especially when buying services that don’t have an immediate deliverable like brand strategy (or any strategy work really).

It’s the question of, “is this actually gonna help or am I just wasting time & money?”

OPE love this point. There's been lots of times that a sales page doesn't match the actual experience I have and its so disappointing. 🙃

I hear this happen a LOT in the design world from my clients perspective. And at the end of the day, what matters is how the client feels about the project, not the designer. (Even though the designers input is still important, it's not the only thing that matters)

That's exactly what I want – for them to feel supported and comfortable enough to tell me if something isn't sitting right rather than just going with it b/c they're scared or uncomfortable to say something!
