Chief Innovation Officer for ansrsource. LnD advocate. Lover of learning. Desperately trying to push L&D forward; your company needs it, your people deserve it, you won't regret it!
Too many companies are still treating training management as admin work when it could be a competitive edge.

If you’re producing content or events around learning operations, automation in L&D, or EdTech innovation, I’d love to be part of the conversation. Connect with me!

Can you ensure quality in AI-enabled learning content?

I'm looking to contribute to publications or platforms that are exploring the real implications of AI in learning:
→ How it changes instructional design
→ Where human expertise still matters most
→ And how governance models must evolve

📣 Looking to contribute! I’m seeking opportunities to write or speak for publications/podcasts that focus on the future of learning, edtech in an AI-enabled world, and strategic L&D innovation in corporate spaces.

Innovation is sometimes about choosing what not to build. (those are tough conversations!). The temptation to chase shiny objects is strong but true innovation requires focus.

What’s something you said no to recently that created more space for what matters?

What does the future of learning look like to you?
Is it faster? More personalized? Driven by AI or grounded in human connection?

We can get distracted by learning objectives and forget that, in the corporate world, we learn for the purpose of growth and performance.

Are you future skilling your team members or barely keeping up with today's skills? Do you have a plan? Need someone to bounce some ideas off of or get some new ideas started? Drop a note and I will do what I can to help.

Effort does not get results... but trial and error can lead to amazing inventions, trying can lead to identifying gaps, work ethic can make up for a lack of knowledge... How can you safely foster a culture of risk-taking?

a new favorite term - drip learning! Let's wake up and get a cup of learning today!

Just a reminder - not saying no does not mean don't have boundaries or stay safe. It means taking a second to decide "What if I said yes to this idea?".

How are you pushing the envelope on your own growth as a leader? Are you collaborating with new people? Reading new books? Being influenced by new tech?

What is your secure base? If you don't know, please go find it! It is worth the work to define it.

This may be a little controversial in today's climate... but when was the last time you intentionally went and looked for an opposing view? Leadership requires you to be open to new perspectives.

Years ago I tried the daily gratitude approach to see if it changed my mindset. It did. Now I am putting a new spin on this. Every day, jot down your wildest wake up ideas.

How many times have you heard (or said) "she needs leadership presence" when discussing young talent? Is this mostly due to our expectations of tonality? Do we think deeper voices have more leadership presence?

When does your leadership create psychological safety and when it is just an excuse to be toxic?
When does it serve your team best to be the steadying influence? (think crisis management)
And when is rocking the boat useful? (think innovation)

What is one thing you can do today that would break a pattern?
March 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM
As a leader, how are you encouraging your people to step up? What is one tip you would give other leaders to help their people step up?
Mine is - don't think it is understood - state it unequivocally. You own this. You run with it. You get to make the decisions on this topic.

Have you overlooked a space to find innovation or creativity?

How are you unlocking new talent resources within your organization?

What are you avoiding?
What is the first step you can take to stop avoiding it and get on with your life?
Leadership matters. What you tolerate is a toxin that will bleed into other areas.

What are you avoiding?

Avoidance damages relationships. Hard conversations are hard for everyone involved but avoiding them just creates a larger current and future problem.

Leaders lead in every interaction.

Morning reminder - knowledge changes lives. If you work in L&D, you are making a difference.

Feed forward is a technique you can use yourself "what is one thing I could change next time?" or you can use it with others. My boss recently said "next time, could you be more concise?" (paraphrased) and that is feedforward! Have you found feedforward to be more successful than feedback?
