Oooh, The Clockmaker's Daughter by Kate Morton. There's this house that is definitely a character. It's the kind of place that all the other characters experience, different times, different generations with its own magic. If I say any more, I might ruin the book. 💜

Ok, so this one doesn't have a big list for me... But "We have always lived in the castle" by Shirley Jackson is tops.

But if I tell you why.... I might ruin the book for you. She's the queen of suspenseful, domestic horror... Just check it out

Sabriel by Garth Nix - when I first read this book in 1997, the YA fantasy genre was full of Tolkien-esque world building. In contrast, this lyrical story in which the dead don't stay dead captured my young imagination. It remains a favorite to this day #Bookvember #Booksky

One of my favorite window books is "One Girl, One Dream" by Laura Dekker.

This powerful story of a young woman sailing around the world opened my eyes to a whole world of solo sailing and brave young persons. ⛵

Catching up!
Conflict Mediation by D.C. Emerson is one of the first romances I've actually enjoyed. Apparently, I like queer romance 💜

And I wrote them into my upcoming novel-a pan dragon, her gender fluid love interest, a demi magician.
