Cats, bikes, urban policy and evidence-based policy generally, environment, books, quilts, and lots of randomness. GenX. Canada.

Let's try not to make things worse, shall we?
Treats must not be eaten on top of the filing cabinet but must be knocked to the floor one at a time and eaten there. #CatsOfBluesky

A tale of two headlines. CityNews: active tense, there's a driver involved ("struck dead by driver") -- kudos for reporting this way. CP: passive ("being hit by vehicle"), vehicle apparently acting on its own. Driver escapes mention, let alone responsibility, yet again.

I keep this Pratchett bit on my phone because it was so unexpected and I laugh every single time I read it. So much talent to set it up.

My tiny mint plant enjoyed the ride home strapped to my bike rack. The basil plants purchased at a later stop perched in the top of one of the panniers full of groceries #DoItByBike

This is an appalling attack on bodily autonomy; they're just starting with this population because they think they can get away with it--all the evidence says involuntary "treatment" is ineffective and dangerous. Ask yourself: who's next? www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/artic...
