Found a close Australian relative of that last week, Korthalsella rubra ssp geijericola, near Scone NSW.

Plant app 23 years old (I collected the seed for it) & flowering for the first time, my other ones are yet to flower.

Some observations:
Easy to grow from seed
Don't "need" fire for flowering, moving or germination
Trunk growth 3-5cm/yr if roots have room.

I discovered I've been wrong about a Eucalypt identification for about 25 years, I've learnt the correct ID & have adjusted brain accordingly. Not great being wrong but good learning something.
