This is a larger problem where people are so desperate to be part of a conversation and seen as cool/correct that they'll regurgitate stuff they've heard about shit they've never experienced and have no personal opinion on, but 100%, yeah. Done unimaginable damage to the way we talk about art.
Imo game theory melted the brains of children. Instead of focusing on interpreting art—they want to be correct. And if a big YouTuber has opinions on a game, it’s easier to agree with them, than actually thinking themselves
