Retired referee amongst other things. All views are personal.

Lifelong Arsenal and Queen of the South Supporter (and that's a long time).

Respectful engagement and good humour appreciated.
I feel Gillett has been one of the better and more consistent performers this year - my expectations are now so low that I'll take it.

Couldn't agree more, Ken.

I further want to call out the very poor remarks from Pep Guardiola - simply not good enough. I remember a time when the FA would charge managers for less.

It is even more pronounced with the sports connections; often impossible to play unless you are from the US.

Got mine in 4 too, but no letters identified after my first try.

I remember that - very funny, Ken.

Amen 🤣

What is this thing you speak of...Congress?

I'll get my coat...
January 20, 2026 at 5:36 PM
Sorry, just my sense of humour today....🙂

That's it! You're a genius, Louise.

Man City, knowing that there is more than a prospect of Arsenal beating them to the EPL title, must have paid Trump a fist full of dollars to cause distractions on the world stage in order for the season not to be completed.

It's all Man City's fault. 😅

From Guinness to Montepulciano d'Abruzzo - all in all, a pleasant day travelling, Tim.

Have a great trip.

Very sensible, Scott.

Ah here - Spurs are not going to get relegated - all joking aside. As for your CEO, he is competent and well respected in the game, as far as I know.

If Frank "divides the fans" as you suggest, I presume that means some Spurs fans support him?

As I say, I'm not a Spurs man, but I'm not having a go

Ken Barlow for President in 2028? 🙂
January 19, 2026 at 5:58 PM
Nah, Paddy Power - Please do the needful and post something funny - we need a laugh.
January 19, 2026 at 5:54 PM
Brilliant. 🙂

It has been commented, Katie, that the US will end up defaulting anyway.

Sovereigns will be "invited" to exchange their existing holdings for (much) longer dated bills with little to no coupon, with some interest capitalised....a default in everything but name.
January 19, 2026 at 4:26 PM
Oh dear. Hope you recover soon.
January 19, 2026 at 11:56 AM
Very good. Keep calm and carry on. 🙂

Hope the Guinness is good.

I didn't see any of the tournament, Glenn but I did keep an eye on the final.

Nothing you say surprises me as there have been certain questionable moments in previous AFCON.

Not disputing anything you say; his record is poor sofar, but to attribute this entirely to him, imo, is a little unfair at this stage.

Personally, I would be looking higher up first. I just don't get the sense that the owners know what they are doing. Everything else flows from there.
January 18, 2026 at 7:39 PM
Strikingly similar alright, Ken.
