@no1lino.bsky.social and @kenstephenson.bsky.social - great results for Liverpool and Newcastle in the CL - good to see.

Also good to see the 113 get beaten. It's always good. Just a shame Chelsea squeaked a win. 🙂

Senegal should have forfeited the AFCON final.

Any team that petulantly walks off the pitch, in the manner they did, do not deserve to lift a trophy.

I do not care how aggrieved they were - they cannot do what they did and pick up a trophy at the end of the game.

John Cross of the Mirror certainly nailed his colours to the mast regarding Victor Gyokeres on the Sunday Supplement this morning - "not good enough".

This is disappointing. Glasner is an excellent coach and is a loss to Crystal Palace.

Palace, imo, are an example of a well run club with an excellent base of supporters.

Old photograph of the local football team from Kinnesswood, Perthshire.

Unknown year, and unfortunately, unknown club. There's little information about this Kinnesswood XI online.

However, it shows that football was alive and well in rural Scotland and continues to be.

Indeed.
Fascinating article!
If AI uses Wikipedia as a kind of Rosetta stone for translations, but it is already poisoned by mistake-riddled machine translations, you get a “linguistic doom loop”.

Food prices are the top factor in how people see inflation. Higher prices in 2025 were largely driven by coffee, cocoa, sweets and meat, despite a basket share of <25%.
The good news? Food inflation is lowering towards 2%.

Are the Arsenal Women still on their Christmas break?

The first 8 minutes of this WSL match would suggest so.

You know, in the fog of other managerial changes in England, another club with a significant history is going through a truly unbelievable spell.

What's happening at Celtic is mind-blowing. Failure arising from the very top

I know results might be disappointing, but this is some reaction by a national government.

I have an eye on the Hibs -v- Hearts match.

Hibs are clearly playing well today. On 48 minutes, they score a third goal to take a 3-0 lead.

It is really disappointing to see Hearts "fans" exit the stadium on 48 minutes. Their team has been generally excellent this year; support is unconditional.

Inter -v- Liverpool. As Jon Champion references, what VAR takes away, VAR giveth.

Yes, there was a shirt pull on the Liverpool attacker, but if you award a penalty for that, there would be 5 penalties every game.

Onfield decision a clear and obvious error? Not for me.

Luck has evened out for Liv

Inter -v- Liverpool - if a VAR check takes that long, the onfield decision should be stuck with.

It cannot be a clear and obvious error if it takes more than 5 minutes to review a goal for the presence of a potential handball.

Liverpool were unlucky there.
