Issam Abdullah, a cameraman for the Reuters news service, was killed and at least four other journalists, including reporters from Al Jazeera, were injured on Friday near Lebanon's southern border with Israel.

Two journalists with Al Jazeera were also injured in the area, but it was not clear if it was from the same incident.

In southern Lebanon, a journalist with Reuters was killed Friday while covering clashes there. Six other journalists were injured, including two from the Al Jazeera news channel, after the journalists were struck by what Al Jazeera said was Israeli shelling.
