This is one of the big findings from my work on campus sexual violence.

Training made school administrators more practiced in discrimination. They treated survivors *worse* after training, not better!
And those who are mad only about the bad PR will stop paying attention, when the violence is enacted on the subjects intended to suffer.

I flinch every time I see another politician say “undertrained” because we don’t want secret police with better protocol for protecting their public image.

Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump.

Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

You can just use the L word, no qualification, just use it.

NYT are liars.
By who? Who shot the person dead? You saw the video. We all know a federal agent shot a man dead who was prone on the ground. Also, it's not "according to officials." It's according to verified video seen with your eyes. Not saying what anyone can obviously see with their eyes is a form of lying.

The central and eastern United States will be one of the cold spots (relative to average) compared to anywhere in the world over the next 7 days. There's always lots of variability in temperatures from place-to-place. But our planet is still warming up, and this is due to human-caused climate change

We see the same thing with state violence. Lethality comes after a killer already has control over a victim.

It’s when someone is trying to leave or begging for the violence to stop. Moments when escalation was necessary for violence to continue since it was coming to a “natural” conclusion.

The other thing I’d recommend is just reading victims’ narratives of abuse. They very, very often describe their perpetrators becoming *calm* right before an escalation in violence. As if they’re making a very intentional decision. (And they are!)

All of this.

Disrupt the “violence comes from emotions running too high” narrative whenever you can.

Patriarchal violence doesn’t come from someone losing control. It comes from someone using a very specific set of tactics to seek more control than they already have.
This is it right here. Law enforcement personnel who move 0 to 60 with their aggression when "executing detention orders" are doing so from learned behavior - it is not instinctual to smash a car window, cut someone's seat belt, drag them out of their car and throw them to the ground. It's taught.
Watching these videos of ICE attacking children, I can’t help but think about how many of these men first practiced their violence in their own homes.

Domestic violence teaches our oppressors to dehumanize the most vulnerable among us.

The 5-year-old arrested by ICE In Minnesota is detained at Dilley. We reported on conditions there in the below article.

Parents said the food was contaminated with mold and worms & that children were so under so much stress that they were hitting their own faces & wetting themselves.
Analysis by The Marshall Project of ICE data obtained by the Deportation Data Project found that the Trump administration’s revival of family detention has swept thousands of children into ICE custody. At least 3,800 children under 18, including 20 infants, have been booked since Trump took office.
ICE Threw Thousands of Kids in Detention, Many For Longer Than Court-Prescribed Limit
Former immigration staffers argue ICE is choosing to detain families for prolonged periods to speed deportations and compel them to leave.

Nasra Ahmed, a 23-year-old US citizen, was arrested and detained by ICE. She was held for TWO DAYS.

ICE agents handcuffed her, called her a racial slur, and she was knocked to the ground so hard she got a concussion.

This cannot continue happening. ICE needs to leave.

America has two major parties:

One party exists to serve the demented whims of our Nazi Pedophile Mad King.

One party isn’t sure whether to fund his lawless goons who are shooting legal observers in the face.

We need to end the two party system.

This is insane not just the explicit "go break the 4A" substance but how they knew how bad it was, acting in guilty paranoia to cover it up and suppress the written evidence.

This isn't how running a government agency works. This is what a criminal conspiracy looks like, because that's what it is.
🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.
