Probably not one of these guys though. This was taken yesterday afternoon less than an hour before sunset from the path at Wilder Ranch.

❤️‍🔥 for the lone figure heading down river and causing all the ripples in its wake.

Was that a cormorant? Or am I way off on scale & it was a sea lion head?

My sweetie lives down there and saw sea lions the other day up in the river lagoon below the trestle bridge (to the left, off-pic.)

+1 to everyone welcoming & gently explaining — this is also reminiscent of other communities that counterbalance gatekeeping with welcoming.

The former is isolationist, the latter is communal and builds trust.

What I notice is a pause and an eye-block like this:

"... from participating in toxic, um" (pause, eye-block) "politics..."

An eye-block is universal body language for a wish to not "see"/hide about what is bring spoken. We can only guess what is going on inside, but something surely is 🤔
