Legitimately what I was hoping for, and having local characters come to defend the zones again as well. Like some Dragonmaw and Wildhammer defending the Highlands, Forsaken defending Tirisfal, Nelfs defending Darkshore, ect.

Combined, their collective drip game would be simply too strong. The character select screen could not handle it.

BfA's story may have been complete rancid ass, but at least those Saurfang cinematics made for a decent bookender to these announcements that could actually generate some level of interest in the story.

This is some the most unnatural sounding dialogue I've ever seen in this game.

I am getting this impression all over the game lately, honestly. Everywhere is this pervasive sense that a crew has co-opted the game and its races and aesthetics and have supplanted it all with their OCs. Void Elves to start, dracthyr, haranir, all of Shadowlands. Identity subversion everywhere.
