Next time you're flying, I want you to think about how crammed in you are compared to the fancy business class booths. Then, imagine you're so disconnected from society that business class is "slumming it" to the point you need a private jet. No-one should be that wealthy, period.

I'm fairly certain he either has a fetish for specifically transfems which he's viscously covering up, or someone told him in 2008 that 'that one episode of the IT Crowd' wasn't funny and he's spent nearly 20 years digging his heels in like a child after being told that it was fucked up and bad.

Ughhhhh I really don't want to use an app, I hate needing a million apps. Is it atleast a desktop application? I'm really not gonna install shit to my phone.

Often i'll have to scroll ages through someone's feed until I see something like "NEW DROP AT [TIME] PST" just to find out if someone is US based. It's not even wanting to buy "local" I just don't wanna be lumped with import tax.

I just made a thread about how the experience went if you're interested! It was eye-opening. It's constantly getting better but it's not there yet to become my default. It does however have great potential, including something which reset my brain last night in a way that I think you'll like ☺️
After last night it was great to have another look at how Resonite is looking. I'm still not sure I can daily drive it, but it was great to have a play on. The potential is really there to be awesome, but the usability needs huge improvements. I'm gonna do a little thread to collect some thoughts 🧵

Closing:
Since last year, the perf has gotten way better, but it's still unintuitive af to get started. I can do steep learning curves but this is a wall. Even as a nerd with a thinkpad running arch I feel out of my depth, god help my friends.

It'll get there, but for now I'll stay a tourist [End]

I feel weird that randos can fuck with my avi. I likely disabled some security but it's wild that I could go AFK & come back to a vore system on me.

Make the "remember me" feature longer than a month.

I need a way of seeing friend activity from web. I'm not booting unless I know folks are on [10]

Basic stuff like Personal Mirror & Camera are missing, needing to be homebrewed in. The Homebrew mirror is great (Better than VRC's!) but my friend had to share an asset/teach me how to put it on my menu.

Spawning clonable assets is great but omg it leaves clutter when folks don't delete them. [9]

Negative:
I >NEED< a toggle between "World Editing" & "Interacting". A Misclick is the difference between drawing on a whiteboard & moving the whole thing. It sets off an "oh god what the fuck am I doing" spiral.

Graphically it looks really flat.

FBT can be super jank.

The keyboard sucks. [8]

The game feels eager to "show off", which is great, but sometimes I'd like to grab a marker and have it act like a marker, not drawing 3D ivy or some shit.

Oh god is it quiet. Last night, Steam had 35k players on VRChat, Resonite had 175. Not its fault, but notable on a social platform. [7]

Tweaking at will can be detrimental to a vibe. It's like a modded car on a scenic road with an open laptop livetuning the ECU. At some point you've gotta stop thinking about fuel tables & start enjoying the drive. The line in the sand between 'editing' & 'using' lets you "worry about it later". [6]

Mixed:
The UI is drastically different to VRC. I'm not bad & VRC's isn't perfect, but if you're familiar with VRC the muscle memory is a PITA.

Most folks who're eager to help generally seem to mean "doing it for you". I appreciate getting started but at some point I've gotta learn this shit. [5]

Editing is all in engine. You can make changes on the fly. No back and forth between Unity and VR, you can tweak and tune at any given point *

Invites persist. If you are invited to a world, but need to duck out, or you crash, you can come back with the same invite

(* I'll come back to this) [4]
November 27, 2025 at 3:29 PM
The performance is now pretty good, you can have many avatars with complex systems in a world, equivalent to or even beating VRC

There's a truly unique culture, and the community are SO friendly & helpful

You have so much freedom. If you want to fly then that's a you thing, not a world thing [3]
November 27, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Positive:
Avatar interaction is so verbose. Other players can resize you & pick you up, give you props/systems to use or wear, even installing them & tweaking your avatar

Your namebadge isn't just a username, you can reposition & resize, have your own font/colour, show pride & interest badges [2]

Like, this shouldn't be hard. Epic aren't exactly cash strapped right now, but oopsie woopsie we just declared that an AMD system file is 1337 HAXX0RZ so fuck me I guess.

Man, Epic really fucking suck.

Whatever, time for my token "How is Resonite doing these days?" I guess

Hell, maybe ask why the mere concept of creativity wasn't accessible to you as a low-income family. Ask why there were no government funded programs or spaces. Healthy countries foster arts & culture development schemes. They cost a lot less than the billions shovelled into the plagiarism machine.
