I love when I accidentally find a new book at work. Do I need a new book? No. Am I getting a new book? Absolutely. #librarylove #skybrary 💙📚

First full read of the year. I love a good detective novel and this one hits all the buttons and then some. The story of a black lawman in Texas battling his own demons while dealing with systemic racism in his home state and law enforcement. Can’t wait to read the next book in the trilogy.

I have more beautiful nature shots, but this is my favorite. I got the need the great @sgj.bsky.social at a Philip K. Dick event in my little town and he was kind, generous, and funny. And let me take a silly selfie with him.

Finally getting the time to listen to TJ Klune’s “Somewhere Beyond the Sea”. The follow up to the brilliant “House on the Cerulean Sea”. There are so many lessons in this book. The development of all the “children” in Arthur and Linus’ care has been a joy. #booksky #librarysky

Since the election I have paralyzed. Now that I’m regaining my footing it felt like the right time to pick this bad ass book back up again. I still feel lost; I’m working on finding my direction to move forward & make change. If you need a push, pick up a book. I recommend this one #craftivism

I spent Friday morning touring Washington Irving’s Sunnyside. It was a stunning estate, I took WAY too many pictures. Here are a few of my favorite exterior shots.

Spent most of the day wandering through the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, here’s a moment of
Zen for everyone tonight. This is the Pocantico River flowing from the Headless Horseman Bridge.

I appreciate that in spite of a less than stellar situation, my husband, my dad, & I have been able to bond & laugh. We found some treasures yesterday clearing out my uncle’s house. Here are a few favorites. Yes, before you ask, that is an old Geiger counter & obviously those dolls aren’t haunted.
