I don't know how traditional illustrators / artists are going to compete with AI prompters when the latter can generate 5-6 fully colored illustrations that look decent enough in a single day.

The book seemed inaccurately named for me. It was more about digital illustration techniques than manga composition.
Parts of it, where they discussed general theories, were excellent. But most of the text was about the illustrator's own process.

If you are in Tokyo and can get to the #Capcom shop (plus love fighting games), one of the best things to buy this New Year is their Hyakunin Isshu set. The packaging doesn't look like much, but it has 100 cards of amazing artwork inside.

No idea about the PS6 or Xbox: Series Infinity release date, but my interest in a new console is hovering at 0.0001. The PS5 barely feels like it has any current gen exclusives and the hardware seems woefully underutilized

A little worrying that the Street Fighter producer is talking about how exciting 2027 will be when people have been complaining about the content drought for the game for the past 4-5 months already.

Physical English manga has become prohibitively expensive in Japan for someone who lives here. If I was collecting 2-3 series, that would be almost twice my Netflix sub a month.

Difficult to explain how much #StreetFighter has taken over the Capcom shop in Shibuya. It used to be a tiny section hidden in the middle of the store. Now it's the whole back wall. We had a Guy from Alpha clear file on sale.

Buying learning resources for any area I haven't worked on since my 20s is always a trip. Educational resources have become so much more varied and better developed in the part 20 years.

This was a decent start to coloring theory. It's an odd mix between theory and color palettes. Large parts can be skipped unless you need it for reference.
