I can DM you more specific locations and will probably email the Calvert Marine Museum but wanted a gut check. It is possible that this is reworked from a late Cretaceous layer that the lag layer overlies but I would be pretty surprised.

Found what I think is a small fragment of a crab (or at least it looks like ones I’ve see photos of) while collecting today (will post scale in next pic). It’s from a lag layer I am fairly sure is Paleocene but I’m not aware of many finds of crabs from the MD Paleocene.
