Yeah, it's way more scifi than your usual stuff, but you are doing a great job. Does not look like you have not done this a lot.

Really love this series of biomechanical animals. Are they for a new project or just for fun?

BTW, if you want to have sharp pixels on bsky, you can scale up 8x, since jpg has 8x8 compression tiles, it will stay perfectly sharp, no artefacts.

Welcome back! Hope you can get some clarification from the BS staff. BS seems to be an apt shorthand for a lot of what they are doing.

Yeah, in general I would do anything digital (non PA) fairly big with 300 or even 600 dpi printing in mind these days, not that I do much digital right now. The benefit with stuff like this is that you also can just work without aa brushes, which is faster at large sizes as well.

The first one is the best Lemmings fanart ever. I would hang that on my wall.

Ripping sprites in the WinKawaks emulator, where you can turn sprites on and off easily (on the NeoGeo basically everything is sprites, outside a non scrollable layer which is generally used for the HUD only)

So it looks like what happened is this: The background was pretty much done, but someone messed up and there was an awkward cut in the trees (see image 2), but the graphics rom was already mastered, so no changes possible. The fix is just in code, using already existing art, and palettes are code.

Not look that crazy if you look at the SNES hw. Most games used a gfx mode that has two 4bpp bgs and one 2bpp bg. You can see that the main bg has no parallax at all. My guess is they use the same bg twice, and the SNES also can do window masking. So I reckon this is not that out there, technically.

There's always patching! :D

Man, this has come a long way :D Congrats on getting it out finally.

They are bad because of other things mainly, imo. It's just that hallucination can backfire hard if you have people who trust them too blindly and get mostly OK answers and then a really wrong one which sounds nice, and it could lead to disaster. I also do not wanna continue talking about this.

Unless there some really broad education of the public happening how LLMs work, and their inherit chance of hallucinating wrong but plausible sounding things, among other things, I don't think it would be good for humanity as a whole. (again, this skips over the environmental issues of data centers)

The question to me here is: Is it worth all the negative effects that things like the construction of large data centers have on nature, as well as the negative mental impacts regarding critical thinking etc, in the average user. I personally don't think so.
