It may not be the old Wembley but 'new' Wembley Stadium with its arch cuts an impressive sight with the February morning sunrise behind it.

I like to think I keep my core relatively strong as someone who enjoys a run - but walking down the aisle of a moving commuter train requires a different level of stability altogether #ukrunchat #running

This morning I heard Inertia Creeps by Massive Attack (player by Nick Grimshaw on BBC6Music) - and I thought it was Schism by Tool from their Lateralus album.

How have I never realised the similarity before now?! Both brilliant bands, both great albums! I think Mezzanine was before Lateralus.

Mildly offended that both of our girls said the grandad on this grandad birthday card looks like me, only to be backed up by Mrs S-K that I only need a few more grey hairs 😆

A win is a must today for #LFC - momentum and points are all important. I'd love nothing more than a swashbuckling, thronker of a win but, for me anyway, style matters less right now.

The #LFC perspective we must all carry this season - a Christmas present I didn't know I needed, if you will. Great work as ever @sachinnakrani.bsky.social, with an honourable mention to another fave of mine @andrewbeasleyfootball.com

Despair and disorder have engulfed the club since their title party, leaving all concerned in need of previous serenity

Thought it might be foolish to watch some of this 3rd test at this late hour. As it turns out we're a wicket down and it's lunch. Might not be too long a 2nd innings chase after lunch #ashes

I know we're in different times now but it's still strange seeing Pep Lijnders (and Kolo Toure to a lesser extent) on City's bench.

I've paid tribute to Diogo Jota in the only way I know how: By showing that he was one of the best goal scorers in the Premier League era.

After a run of three bad things happening this week (split tap connector Tues, bottom fell out of a bottle and tyre puncture yesterday) - I've been dropped on by a bird while out running this morning.

Possible change in luck afoot this week!

Train crimes aplenty today - and, boy have they come in many forms:

-Talking to phones instead of holding to ear,
-Slow-walking on tube while messaging or reading,
-Falling asleep on my shoulder (albeit understandable in heat)
-Asleep traveller arm hair tickling my own

The rage is relentless.

If you want to be, have been, will be or you are - happy Father's to all of you brilliant dads out there 💙

We may not talk about our struggles, worries or frustrations and we may not always win but we try.

This has been cordoned off for a while, outside Enfield Civic Centre, probably while it dried - but great to see it in all its glory and in use today!

Just over 6 hours and finally pulling into Liverpool Lime Street for some of the parade! Spent quite a while in Crewe - as nice as I'm sure it is there - it's not where we wanted to be!! #YNWA

I've moved - thank you people of Leighton Buzzard getting off at your stop. It wasn't good. Almost like an old hospital ward when estates can't turn the heating off in a heatwave. IYKYK, as they say
May 14, 2025 at 6:00 PM
On a train out of London and the heating is on in the first carriage >22°C outside and probably more in the first carriage.

Advice is to move carriages (heating is set at depot first thing) - it's amazing how many of us value a seat more over air con. Some kind of weird social experiment maybe!

Well done people of West Northants, those who voted for Reform anyway. They'd better be serious about their intentions as local info was pretty sparse.

Listening to London union colleagues y'day, it was the same populist messages elsewhere. Boats, waste & taxes, and scrapping net zero 🙄

Yes I know the officiating and 'respect' is better in rugby union but seriously, absolutely nothing beats a good game of football.

Talking to our youngest about Donald Trump and Elon Musk and she says wait, is he still alive? I thought he was the one who sang 'Step into Christmas'. He's really old!

I like to think of early morning and evening ice scraping as therapeutic activity that gets the time it deserves.
