When I was a teenager, I walked a lot. I recently calculated that I walked 3 miles every night. Two laps around the neighborhood I grew up. That was a minimum. Some nights it was closer to 6. It was peaceful and quiet. I would shove my Sony Walkman anti skip discman into my pocket with whatever CD I was currently listening to on repeat and just make the rounds.

In space nobody can hear you scream about which movie is better, the original or the sequel. Luckily, we're not in space, we're on a podcast and you get to hear us argue about which is better between the first two films in the Alien franchise: Alien and Aliens.  Jeff will defend the original that started it off with Ridley Scott's Alien (which we discussed in season 1 if you want to go back and do some prep before this episode), and James Cameron's (making his third appearance this season) Aliens.

Week 10 is done! Five full days remaining in this round! Let’s talk about it! One of the core things about 75 Hard is that while it’s not a physical health or even a weight loss challenge, the added perks of the routine and taking care of yourself, fosters natural progress in your physical well being. Or at least you will with this episode as we take on one of the greatest original and sequel runs for a horror movie franchise in history. This week we look at Clive Barker's legendary Hellraiser and compare with Hellbound: Hellraiser II.  As the resident horror nut, Jeff gets to the be the judge as Steve argues for the original Hellraiser and Nate will take the reigns of arguing for Hellbound: Hellraiser II being the superior film.

Week 9 is in the books, and only one more full week of round 2 left! Lets talk about it. I start week 10 feeling a little defeated. My weight this morning was 300 again. I felt anger and disappointment, but then got filled with some resolve. See, I knew the holidays would be a struggle, but I kept my confidence.

What's that? You want to know what movies we're discussing this week? The Moose our front should have told ya! Cause it's a beaut, Clark! That's right, we're doing one of the best original and sequel comedies in history, National Lampoon's Vacation will go up against National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!  Nate will get the honor of defending the one that started it all with the documentation of the Griswold family and their cross-country trek to Wally's World in the original Vacation.

Week … hold on I forgot what week this is… WEEK 8!!! Week 8 has come and gone, and so has Christmas! How did I fare this week? Lets talks about it. DIET UPDATE No real changes or challenges outside of the abundance of Baked goods in my immediate proximity, whether it was work or home. Had a little cookie overload one day this past week at work but beyond that, no real issues.

AHHHHH! It's here! Another one of the “gotta have it this season” originals vs sequels comes in the form of Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. One might ask themselves how you could possibly build on the success of a runaway hit like Home Alone? Well, that's what we're here to answer! Jeff will defend the original Home Alone as being better but Steve will argue that Lost in New York is the superior film.

Week 6 has passed.. and so has my time weighing over 300 lbs. Let’s talk about it. (Record Scratch) Wait… This is week 7… Well shit. So I failed in posting this past Saturday. This past weekend was… Heavy? Emotional? Stressful? Yes all those things. The anniversary of my mother’s passing as well as the funeral for one of my aunts that passed away a couple weeks ago overshadowed and took control of my brain.

This is the week that we’re sure many of you have been waiting for. When the idea of “original vs. sequel” comes up one of the biggest examples that comes to mind is one of the first to ever enter the conversation: Star Wars: A New Hope vs. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back. One of the most successful franchises in history and two of the best sci-fi movies will duke it out to see who takes it home this week. 

Week 5 of my second round of 75 Hard is passed. Lets Talk about it. Milestone (Almost) I had mentioned in last weeks blog update that I set a goal of trying to hit under 300lbs before the week was over. My weight fluctuated a lot over the week but as of this morning I am at 300 even. When I saw that number this morning I took a deep breath and nodded to myself.

We’re riding into the danger zone this week! Or do we have the need for speed? Either way, we’re Tom Cruise-running our way into this weeks episode which introduces our first Legacy Sequel of the season as we pit together Top Gun vs. Top Gun Maverick.  Tom Cruise came back to reprise his role as Maverick more than 3 decades after the original.

Week 4 is in the books. Not without a lot of roadblocks. I DID DROP 2 POUNDS THOUGH! Diet Struggles and Thanksgiving As whole I had no real struggle with diet this week. I’m still not hitting all my macros so almost every day is starting a low carb day. So on the days I’m doing a little more intense of a workout im actually getting more out fi t that I planned.

Week 3 has come and gone. Let’s talk about it. Struggles Water. For some reason, out of no where, water has become the bane of my existence. It’s not that I don’t like drinking it all of the sudden, because has never been an issue. It just keeps taking me longer n the day to finish it. Now I do have a theory for this.

Week three is here and we have a good one! After two weeks of the original taking the win, will a sequel finally be able to break through? This week is as good of a chance as any with the epic films of The Terminator and the Terminator 2: Judgment Day. This will be the first week in which there is a clear difference between budget and production values between the first and second movie.

Week 2 Down. Let’s talk about it. Diet Struggles I’ve found it a challenge to hit my carb and calorie goals each day. Not to the extent of staying UNDER them, but getting up to them. SO the calorie and carb cycling isn’t going as great as I’d like. I plan on bucking down this weekend and organizing a better plan to hit those numbers over the next several days.
