Boom! Contracts exchanged on nice house in West Hampstead for twice-denied clients.
Amazing work by the agents (Hamptons) to stop me from sticking a horses head in their clients bed!

There are lots of reasons why Govt. will struggle to build 1.5m new homes during this Parliament, not least that there aren't enough bloody builders! 👷🏼
There were 2.06 million in the UK construction workforce in 2025 Q4, according to the ONS, which is broadly flat compared with Q3, 3.9% lower than a year earlier & 15.0% lower than in 2019 Q1. (1/n)

Remember, last year 80% of sales were agreed below asking price.
Buyers decide what a property is worth. Sellers have the luxury of deciding if it's enough.

‘Bournemouth Patriots’ - about 12 of them, one apparently thinking she is in Texas - protesting the incredibly brave volunteers of the RNLI for saving people’s lives.

The banner held up by a walking frame with shopping bag suggests civil war may be some way off yet.
There was a protest outside the RNLI today and I would post the 'there are dozens of us' meme but that would be to overstate the case somewhat

“Unsold homes have started to pile up. According to Zoopla, there are now 14% more available properties [in London] than there were a year ago.

“In parts of the capital, 15% of the homes for sale have had a price cut.”

Keir Starmer wouldn't be the first person I'd expect to bump into on the moral high ground. Ratcliffe comments may be offensive to some or wrong in fact but politicians are the last people to sit in judgement.
