I bet the tourist industry and airlines in the US are really celebrating. But I suppose the makers of video conferencing platforms may make some money....
Do not travel to the USA. Not that I really understand why anybody would want to
It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted

Lib Dems urge Starmer to let Labour MPs vote for 10-minute rule bill saying UK should join EU customs union.
Letter to Starmer:
“Even if the government retains its position of ruling out a customs union it is only right that you grant your MP’s the opportunity to express their support for it”

why the heck would the UK government want to weaken protections against torture? No, don't answer that, because any answer to it is going to be scary.
The proposals to limit Article 3 are absolutely terrifying. I struggle to think of something that has come out of any UK government which has concerned me more. This must be resisted absolutely.

People should stop kidding themselves that we fought World War 2 to defeat fascism. We fought it to stop one country taking territory from others. Yes, some people could see the evil, but if Hitler hadn't invaded somewhere else, would we have fought him? I wish I could believe we would have.

no, no, no. Glue. Tiara glued to a wig, and wig glued to head. Has to be. I bet she has a special stand for it too, that she got off Temu. Or JML. One or the other.
Is it ears?

I'm guessing it's ears.

Here's that genius Tiara hack youve been waiting for.

oh I hope SOOOO much that they don't apologise because that would mean no Farage on the BBC ever again! (But somehow I don't believe that's what would happen).
Farage also wants an apology from the BBC "for all of your appalling output" or he won't speak to them again. He sounds very, very rattled.

it's not their minds they've lost, it's their moral compass
I feel like one of the most underrated explanations for what's happening right now in global politics is that almost everyone has lost their minds.

Violence against women and girls in the online space is a growing problem. As politicians and activists we have to be vigilant against forces which seek to silence women. Whether it’s digital abuse or the physical threat that it can quickly turn into, there is no excuse.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance.

Sending love and solidarity to all trans+ people and those who have lost a trans+ loved one through violence or state oppression and neglect.

And a special thought for those who will have taken their lives without ever disclosing their trans identity.
