The EPA just announced it will stop counting the "value" of lives saved from air pollution when setting new rules. In a world of rising 🔥 🔥 🔥 and smog, our children’s health should be the FIRST priority, not an "uncertain" variable. 🛑🩺 #momsky

EPA says it will no longer consider health costs in pollution regulations
The EPA weakened emissions standards for new power plants and said it would no longer consider the economic impacts of public health in rule making.

The way a 70+ woman in the south can use the term, "that girl" needs to be studied:

"Don't bring that girl back over to my house."
"He out there with that girl he met."
"That girl been running circles around her mama since she came into the world."
"Don't leave your valuables round that girl."

The acura-cy...I mean accuracy.
This is coming from a place of love and support, but…

It’s ‘shoo-in,’ not ‘shoe-in.’

It’s ‘case in point,’ not ‘case and point.’

It’s ‘moot point,’ not ‘mute point.’

It’s ‘hunger pangs,’ not ‘hunger pains.’

It’s ‘jibe with,' not 'jive with.'

There's so many Trinidad Chambliss' hidden in plain sight. They either have been overlooked, underestimated, or they are excelling and competing at a super-high level in a low-level market. 2026 is for them. Play on Trinidad. Play on. 🏈💥🚀

I am not allowing politics to drain me in 2026. I'm not muting politics. I'm just not being distracted by politics. I can't create, engage, love wholeheartedly, or build appropriately when I am distracted. 💪🏽

What the KENNEDY Center used to be…

Remember that time Aretha Franklin performed at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors, paying tribute to Carole King, who co-wrote “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman,” and it brought a tear to Obama’s eye and everyone to their feet? And Carole King’s reaction. Wow.

Stepping into 2026 with family and friends, unbothered, determined, supported, encouraged and love. Don't do life alone in 2026. We need each other.

I play the beginning of Aretha Franklin's funeral over and over again just so I can listen to Richard Smallwood play the keys as the choir sings his song, "Total Praise." You can just feel it. I dare you to YouTube it...what a gift. God bless his family and friends. Rest in peace, Mr. Smallwood.

They save people.

Yet another excellent courtroom exhibit.
Here is a map of the affected countries (excluding Tonga), to give you a sense of how much this new ban restricts immigration from Africa in particular.

Of the newly-added country, Nigeria faces the largest impact, with tens of thousands of visas issued every year to Nigerians.

I awoke to the news of a family member passing away in her sleep. 3 days ago two brothers were killed in a fiery car accident. A man I spoke to last week is fighting for his life after a car accident.
Don't play with your relationships. Don't think you have endless time with loved ones. You do not.

Who is in 50's circle? Setting your sights on bringing another person down is always the beginning of your own downfall. In the beginning it always seems like you are winning, but by the end whatever pain/shame/criticism you direct on another person will boomerang back to you. U reap what u sow.

Started stressing about where everyone will sit for Thanksgiving dinner. Hub reminded me that our grandmas hosted 30-deep in a 3 bedroom home with one table, 5 chairs, and 2 stools. No one complained while eating some of the best food, cakes, and pies ever. We are good. Be grateful. #Thanksgiving

I knew something weird was happening to my Gmail accounts. All of a sudden AI was basically taking over my emails. One day I was fine, the next I'm vying with Gemini to reply to a simple email. Thank you for sharing this.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

My aunties ate this up when I was a child. J.R.'s name (along with Victor Newman) was on constant rotation in the beauty salon and in neighborhood banter. The chokehold of soap operas and evening television drama on the 80s. IYKYK
Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Mary Crosby seen here in the "Who Done It?" episode of "DALLAS" dir. Leonard Katzman revealing the person who pulled the trigger was Kristin, J.R.'s scheming sister-in-law and mistress who shot him in a fit of anger, which aired #OnThisDay in 1980

Was supposed to have a virtual writing session this morning with a co-researcher but she notified me that ICE is in Durham and she has to do patrols to help keep her community safe. The forced normalization of protrcting communities from ICE is equally damaging. You can't just undo this and move on.

Never thought of it like this...
one of the more frustrating things about AI shit is that it, unfortunately, represents how a lot of older types think the computer should work ("ask it questions, get answers, talk with it") and normal interaction with a computer makes them terrified they'll hit a "blow up everything" button
