So one of the nice things about one drive is the “on this day” feature so I get reminded on what I was playing while working the book. So here is Hudson Selection Vol. 3: PC Genjin one of the cool Japanese only #GameCube games in the series of remakes made by Hudson Soft.

Today’s game is Tower of Druaga for the GameBoy. Wow what a cryptic game. Gameplay is straightforward but to get the treasures (you must get some to beat the game) can be very cryptic and even give you bad treasures that hurt you.

After all these years I finally got through Donkey Kong County for GameBoy Color! While yes it may be the worst version it’s still an incredible port to fit the the game in such a little package.

Book one (a.co/d/7qtNUtR) took me years to make on my own playing every GameCube game from every region even the….. interesting….. lone unlicensed game. Having a full time job while writing and having a family isn’t easy and working on it while recovering from a major surgery as well.

Rampage: World Tour is another in the stream of games developed by @digitaleclipse.bsky.social in a series of arcade conversions. It offers all the destructive fun of the arcade with fluid animation and all 3 of the original monsters to choose from.

Let’s talk about another game for the GBC made by @digitaleclipse.bsky.social NFL Blitz was their first for the console. The game is Isometric but has very compressed black and white cutscenes of big hits like you would see in the arcade version. This game is packed with all of the codes and (1/2)

This was a tough one. Extra lives are worth the time to get with no continues. It’s all about going very slowly to kill enemies as the come and learning the bosses patterns quickly as there is no post hit invincibility. There aren’t any credit unfortunately only know that @rare.co.uk developed it.

Just beat this classic developed by @digitaleclipse.bsky.social not one that gets talked about much but a solid platformer for the GBC. You should check it out for your GameBoy player. Also the includes the Konami code to unlock wolverines other classic costume.
