The idea that the judiciary is apolitical based on the fact that they don't speak on political matters is one of the fig leaves of the British establishment. It allows them to historically and contemporaneously make political judgements while those behind them can be protected from some of it.

The outcome was predictable given the EHRC submission and that @profstephenwhittle.bsky.social and Victoria McCloud couldn't submit testimonies. By not lobbying Labour ahead of time, we essentially let the court write gender recognition policy for them.

Thank you
We fought this fight from 1990 to 2010

In 2004, I said
“it is like Britain has finally grown up & realised we are just like everyone else; we pay the bills, fall in love, take our kids to school, are part of our communities”

Let’s go back to those days of a once mature nation

It has come to my attention that many of you have been sharing this photo of Streeting and Mandelson widely.

Please remember that Wes Streeting does not like it being shared widely. So please do not share it widely and on every possible occasion. We wouldn’t want to upset him would we?

Don’t worry - many (prob most) are not like that - at 70 I can still do the moves & so can most of my mates

I urge the Commission to reconsider its approach in the interests of legal clarity, practical workability, and the fundamental rights and dignity of all those affected.
