Finished Silent Hill f on Hard/Hard. It was great, but playing on Hard during the first playthrough was a dumb mistake. Combat is doable most of the time, but more frustrating than it needed to be at other times.

Story difficulty from here on out for the other endings!

Amazing how they hollowed out this program.

I've been playing daily on Xbox to earn Rewards, but every time they raise the # of points you need to redeem or they make it less interesting altogether.

It's a shame because it incentivized you to get hooked on the GP concept and be engaged.
Microsoft Rewards - Starting October 1st, users will no longer be able to directly redeem Reward points for Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. Users will need to redeem points for Xbox gift cards to cover cost of Game Pass sub

This increases points redemption by at least 6K points for 1 month of GP Ult.

Unsubscribed from all Atlassian email communication only to immediately get a Jira tips email.

I'm sure someone there has a Jira ticket about it in their Trello card.

Played through the first "world" of Wheel World, it's pretty good!

Cozy Burnout Paradise with bicycles.

It's on Game Pass.

Super impressive to see Peak hit 4.5M in such a short time, happy for the teams at Aggro Crab and Landfall!

Good to see those kind of success stories despite the ongoing Xbox discourse...

Anyway Daiwa Scarlet is the best racer.

Xbox and SGF had some great showings for big games this year, but the smaller AA and niche games from other showcases like Future Games Show looked like they will easily compete on wishlists and Steam buzz when the time comes.

Finished Doom: The Dark Ages and went back to play through Doom Eternal to see if I missed any story. I didn't!

They're very different games but I preferred the methodical flow of TDA over the locomotion chaos of Eternal. TDA also feels more suited to console play imo.

TLOU S2 was definitely a bit less impactful than S1, but I think in the context of a 2-3 season arc for the 2nd game, S2 does what it needed to do.

The show isn't made for the players, and the discourse around this IP is just the worst from all sides...except the people who watch and enjoy it.

Finally watched A Minecraft Movie and it's... fine? I don't play or care about Minecraft, but it had big Spy Kids vibes and it's clear why it was a hit with the kids. They'll make at least 3 of these lol.

The beauty of LinkedIn is that in 3-4 weeks time, someone will unironically post about how labubus relate to the state of the games industry.

And then someone at a major publisher will be forced to spend 2 days on a deck to explain to their SVP what a labubu is.

Final Destination: Bloodlines was pretty fun. It does exactly what it needs to do without being too corny...while being exactly corny enough.

I don't think we need more than one of these per 4-5 years though. But glad to see it back in business for the modern era.

Rewatched MI 4-7 over the last days ahead of The Final Reckoning IMAX preview tomorrow.

Ghost Protocol: fine

Rogue Nation/Fallout: much better with McQ getting into gear, also the most coherent together

Dead Reckoning: solid but lags a little, the train set piece is not as exciting by comparison

Disappointed that no review or guide for Clair Obscur used something like "We'll always have Parries" or "Parries, je t'aime" 😔
