Action flick with a female lead, you say?

La Femme Nikita! I know - it's 1990 not 2000s. But it is SOOOOO GREAT!

And doesn't it seem like a major motivation for both is, basically, laziness? The GOP: "citing and arguing legal justifications for things" and "formulating complex legislation and getting it through Congress" is too hard! Dems: "holding criminals to account is super hard and people call us names!"

Is anyone else curious about why all the photos and the very awkwardly staged Q&A are screening Trump's lower half from the cameras? I mean, he usually does these post-meeting pressers in the chairs on the other side of the Oval.

Yeah, that's it. The reason air travel sucks now is because I'm not wearing stockings, a girdle and gloves, and my husband isn't wearing a suit and a homburg. It has nothing to do with the delays, overbooking, lack of legroom, nickel and diming on food and luggage, and general enshitification.

This sentiment hasn't emerged in a vacuum. The never-ending vilification of urban spaces and lifestyle means people with no experience of it are primed to see it negatively. So the 'preference' is actually a prejudice, explaining the gap between 39-47% wanting urban dev but less funding for it.

Gessen states it well but, as you know, this critique has been expressed for quite a while, in academia and beyond. And it's ironic, right? Because Holocaust Studies and Genocide Studies scholarship is inter-dependent and Holocaust exceptionalism weakens the fabric of both.
