I'll start, for me having a mental identity with my kin type is both tied to my traumas, my existence as a system, and overall just mentally identifying as a moth, bat and eldritch being. Internally I am a moth or eldritch(rarely) but I have always had an identity towards bats and death concept kin.

Being hush hush or treating the word disability for these conditions as if it is a slur only let's people try to say if we try we can just "get over it" its an unfortunate fact that we can't just get over it. We live with it, and with our needs met can likely do great things.
