Yes, it is. It's just bias. The Museum is only approving/accepting finds/artefacts from a certain project and rejecting others...no matter what the artefact is! They are supporting and endorsing uniquely them for the 'official' archaeology/history of Wirral. Sadly.

Then you are free do as you wish with them. So, they are kept safe with the other finds from this project. But they sort of don't form part of the 'official' history of the region.

Is the Portable Antiquities Scheme a victim of it's own success? On Wirral the Museum of Liverpool and PAS FLO only accept finds from one person/small group of detectorists who claim all their finds were found at the farm at Clatterbridge, when they weren't! Bad archaeological practices #FindsFriday
