If it’s good for the little guy, it’s good for the nation.

Here to yell into an internet void, or post snippets from my research. 🌘
So the big picture is that putting Trump in a position where it (Palestine or Rwanda) is *his job*… is neocolonial. The global south is more than capable of cooperating with themselves without first world foreign interference.

If you scroll up you can see that the post and my comment are about Rwanda. However - the Israeli Palestinian conflict also can’t be explained away with Trump as a factor. He is such an inconsequentially small piece towards funding that has existed for decades.

I always do…. (Under) development is my field of study. NPR taking this angle that Trump is *causing* or *prolonging* the conflict in Rwanda neglects centuries of other factors including colonialism. “Failed peacekeeping” is implied
August 21, 2025 at 4:04 AM
Can you explain how Trump is having a worse impact in Rwanda than Biden or Obama?
August 21, 2025 at 4:00 AM
Foreign interference of a *different nature* wont fix or even improve the Iraeli-Palestinian conflict. My entire OG post here was about how united states foreign policy is not the origin or the ending of any international conflict

US never ratified the Rome Statute. Beating your head against a wall there

I refuse to give Trump credit for ‘peace-keeping’ chaos that was really caused by the United Nations

“But the trump administration is making it worse!”

run far away from anyone looking at politics (especially African politics) in such a reductive way. This began with ethnolinguistic group conflict, and british colonization, the genocide… and M23 waaaaay down the line.

K frick hold on. This conflict has been drawn out for like a quarter century by foreign interference from ALL corners, the worst probably being MONUSCO. Ffs don’t make this some partisan domestic political issue when this conflict doesn’t start or stop with US administration across the world.

Kiss the fucking ring, Cook. Bend right over. Your own brand is made at such a mark up that it can’t survive domestic production. Your profit margin exists due to slave mined metals.
August 7, 2025 at 12:42 PM
Nice to know the statistics… I’ve never understood why people act like ‘domestic vehicles’ are all that American. Neoliberalism paved the way for cheap foreign parts / raw resources.

Figured it was an interesting tidbit since lots of people don’t know of such heavy tariff use from the US/UK/France just a couple centuries ago. Its an interesting scam. Thanks for the unwarranted snottiness.

Our definition of capitalism now is typically neoliberalism, a technique to strong arm the global south into making their resources cheap and easy to access.
July 22, 2025 at 11:35 PM
Unregulated capitalism is *technically* a 100% open economy without tariffs. Thats what ‘free trade’ is by definition.

In reality, all current western industrialized countries used protectionist policy (tariffs) to protect their baby industries.
July 22, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Their dip in profit is much, much more heavily impacted by blanket tariffs up to 25% than a decrease in sales
July 22, 2025 at 11:30 PM
When you say ‘decimated the working class’ what exactly do you mean?
July 22, 2025 at 11:27 PM
I’m responding to your statement that “women are not socialized to be violent in any country” - this is untrue. Organized violence is violence regardless.
July 17, 2025 at 7:08 PM
Socialization is not the only factor affecting behaviour. The venn diagram of gendered behaviour when faced with being self serving, desperate, or having power, is a circle. Many emotions and factors contribute to violence and corruption beyond gendered socialization.

So now they must pay a doctor up to $300 and fill out a complex form (they get money back NEXT year)… just to get the exact same amount. AB saw an opportunity to have the feds pick up the bill and they took it. We are the only province that chose to do this. Summary - Danielle is the Devil.
July 17, 2025 at 6:50 PM
The feds opted to send everyone on AISH $200/month SPECIFICALLY to help alleviate poverty that hits disabled folks. The AB gov made it mandatory to apply for this benefit because they will be lowering everone’s AISH by $200 regardless.

This is fair, I’ve seen women be quite abusive, hateful, and manipulative. We all have. Those are *human* characteristics, not male or female. Big blanket statements around the morality of one gender or another are concerning.
July 17, 2025 at 6:45 PM
Historically speaking, there have been many militia groups comprised of mainly women.
July 17, 2025 at 6:43 PM
I’ve never related to anything more

Hey @bsky.app how about a feature to block news sites with paywalls?

They know the people will kill over this now. As they should
