Alright hold on, I think alt arts and stuff are a weird situation that muddies the water a bit but people have been getting alters for years before them. As long as the main vanilla printing has the color pips, that’s the deciding factor. For me at least.

The only reason I disagree is the fact that on printings w/o reminder text, the card lacks color info. And while we do have cards where reading them doesn’t explain them, idk if we want to go further down that road.
Totally forgot Firebending and Trinisphere had colors in their reminder texts!

It really should just be “color identity == whatever color pips are on either side of the card.”

Commander seemed more fun when it was jank that went through standard first.
Although, I remember being intimidated by making a 100 card deck all those years ago and didn’t really start till the EDH precons came out so maybe I’m the problem 🤦♂️

This. I’ve got a lot of complicated feelings about UB but I think I’m settling on just not including them no matter how much I like the IP.

Yeah that’s fair. As far as I know the blog is his own thing so if he did disagree he could always choose to say nothing.
