Got to this boss in Silent Hill F and the game is really clicking for me now. I don’t agree with everything it’s doing, but I’m really enjoying watching it come into its own and I’m liking it way more than the 2 remake as of now.

I read this this past week. Evil, evil book, but extremely well done, impactful, actually heartbreaking. I don’t even know what to say about it other than it will stick with me for a long time and that I would highly recommend it.

It’s always been very funny to me that these two movies were shot at the exact same time with the exact same people and one is really great and the other is pretty horrible.

Some fun book finds I got today.
I find these Ghibli “manga” publications that just reuse stills to be so weird. Not only is it just a worse way to experience the story of the film, but it also devalues what comics can do and just perpetuates the idea that they are interchangeable with filmic media. Just feels very anti-art to me.

You weren’t allowed in if you weren’t local, and even then she often questioned your history and background before she deemed you okay to shop there. I was held against my will in the store on two different occasions for over an hour, I have no idea how she did this since like the seventies.

Somewhat sad to learn that The Celtic Way in Asheville seems to have finally closed. To me it was in its own way a bizarre and horrible local institution. If you want to see the wildest reviews of any business go to its yelp page. The racist lady who ran this place terrorized tourists for decades.

This PR statement really just reads to me as: “we have concepts of a plan”. I don’t know why they would jump the gun and make an announcement when they don’t have the next. movie to tease or something like that. Showing off some art that isn’t a massive deviation from what came before. Weird move.

I don’t really get the hate for the new Jason mask, I think it looks just as fine as any of the other ones they’ve ever used. Weirdest thing to me is to unveil it without it being actually attached to a real movie or anything.
