I dunno if you got this Act 2 ending but to me it feels like a "nothing" ending, which, yeah, part of that is up to me, but part of it is up to craft too.

Nier automatas ending system is NOT this, and completing the main endings for that is one of the most satisfying gaming experiences ive ever played, and it took less than the time it took for me to bounce on silksong.

(For those that are curious this is abiut Silksong's Act 2 ending and the need to basically 100% to get to Act 3, and the fact that Blue Prince has you spend a long time opening a room and then doesnt let you explore it until you... Do the work to open it again?)

And its not that "It just wasnt for me" -- i truly loved playing both of these games, but the clear communication from the ending you get vs the ending you die for is that I didnt love them enough. Which feels weird.

That might be just my taste but is the alternative "no we expect our players to spend a billion hours to get story satisfaction?" Thats a bummer!
No hate on these devs and im glad they had good sales and reception, but as a player on the other end of this design pattern it feels flat to me.

Im a huge fan of not having a "true" or "better" ending dependent on playstyle or completion. I think that you should get a great ending if you dared finish a game, especially foe this long, and additional stuff if you milked it dry.
